Credit Disability Insurance

Credit Disability Insurance is just what it says it is…disability insurance protection that helps protect your insured loan(s) financed with AODFCU.

What does Credit Disability do for you? If you are totally disabled due to a covered sickness or accident, Credit Disability Insurance is designed to make your loan payment, up to the policy maximum. Credit Disability Insurance helps give your family financial freedom when they need it most.

Credit Disability Insurance is optional and is not required as a condition for granting a loan. The premium may be included with your monthly loan payment. Members borrowing money from the credit union may be eligible for this coverage if they are actively employed 25 or more hours per week and under age 70. There is a 30 day waiting period before being eligible for benefits. Single Credit Disability is available to either the primary borrower or joint borrower (if applicable). Joint disability coverage is not offered at this time.

There is no way anyone can predict an injury or medical-related illness, but you can take steps along the way to make sure your family is protected if the unforeseen were to happen. Credit Disability Insurance helps pay your loan so you and your loved ones don't have to. This coverage is in addition to any other insurance coverage you may have.
